With a background in competitive dance beginning at the age of 6, Leahwen began her music journey with the viola at the age of 12. After participating in multiple orchestras and summer intensive programs throughout secondary school, she decided to pursue a career in music at Biola University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. After graduation, she taught private violin and viola lessons, worked as a music teacher at WePlay Music in Irvine, CA, and assisted with orchestral coaching at local public high schools.

Her passion for Electronic Dance Music began in 2012 after discovering Krewella’s song “Alive” from their Play Hard album. Her love for EDM grew even deeper after attending her first Insomniac festival, Beyond Wonderland. Heavily inspired by the sounds of INZO, LSDREAM, RÜFÜS DU SOL, ODESZA, Worakls, and Emoter, Leahwen began producing her own music during college, combining electronic music with classical orchestral elements.

In 2023, Leahwen began her DJ journey under the alias psyf1ow, where she combines electronic music with live viola. The name psyf1ow comes from the Greek word ψυχή (psychḗ), meaning soul, spirit, breath, and mind. F1ow represents the flow of life and the idea that we are all connected as one.

Within two years, psyf1ow has become an active part of the Las Vegas EDM scene, performing at venues throughout the Arts District, Fremont Street, and the Strip. Through her music, she continues to explore the connection between sound, movement, and the human experience.
